Volunteer Roles

Facilities Volunteer

If you enjoy practical tasks, getting outdoors, or working with your hands, this role is a great fit.

You might help with:

Gardening and grounds maintenance
Cleaning and maintaining vehicles
Minor repairs, painting, and window cleaning
Sewing curtains or other fabric-based projects

Administrative Volunteer

If you’re organised, detail-focused, and confident with computers, we’d love your support behind the scenes.

Tasks may include:

Data entry and record keeping

Assisting with communications and mail-outs

Answering phones and general admin support

Activities Facilitator

Do you enjoy arts and crafts, cooking, pampering, or sports? Share your passion with our residents!

Example activities include:

Craftability and creative textile sessions

Chefable (cooking and baking sessions)

Nail painting, Salon Days, and pampering activities

Sports, games, and coffee groups

Colouring in, puzzles, and reading groups

Lifestyle Volunteer

Bring joy to a resident’s day by helping them engage in activities they love.

You could assist with:

Craft projects, makeup, computer use, or reading aloud

One-on-one companionship and conversation

Attending community appointments or outings with residents

Supporting hobbies and daily interests

Coffee Buddies

If you're a people-person who enjoys a chat over a cuppa, become a coffee buddy!

You’ll:

Socialise one-on-one with a resident on-site or at a local café

Help residents access the community

Travel with residents via taxi, car, or public transport (no personal vehicle required)

Drivers

Help residents get where they need to go — safely and with a smile.

As a volunteer driver, you’ll:

Assist residents in and out of vehicles

Drive them to appointments, shopping trips, or community activities

Ensure they are safe and supported at each stop

Hold a full NZ driver’s license
