Social Worker/Kaimahi Toko, Wellington

We are looking for a Social Worker to help us deliver our ACC Training for Independence contract. This position will be based in the community (greater Wellington region) and on-site in Naenae supporting our residential services contract. The position is predominantly working with clients with brain or other complex injuries.

The work involves advice, education and support. You will be assessing clients’ needs, situations, strengths & support networks to restore their independence & ability to participate in their everyday life:
- Providing client-centered solutions through determining their goals
- Providing practical support to assist them with finances & living arrangements
- Supporting clients to adjust to changes & challenges in their lives
- Advocating for the whānau
- Handling crisis situations when required
- Monitoring and reporting the client progress
- Collaborating with other Allied Health staff through our interdisciplinary team
- Identifying external agencies & supporting clients to access their services

- Bachelor of Social Worker (or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years experience
- NZ Practising Certificate
- NZ full driving licence
- NZ citizen, resident or holder of a work visa
