Team Leader/Occupational Therapist – Community Team (Full-time)

We are looking for a Team Leader/Occupational Therapist. This is a new position will be based in the community (greater Wellington region) and on-site at Laura Fergusson Trust in Lower Hutt. The Team Leader component is to support the Community Lead role (16 hours) with leadership/management responsibilities and the role of Occupational Therapist (24 hours) working with clients with brain injury or other complex disabilities/injuries.

Team Leader

This role with focus on providing additional leadership and supervision of our Community Coaches as well as support and guidance to Allied Health. It will also develop exemplar working relationships both internally and externally.

Occupational Therapist

This role involves a variety of clinical work (assessment, intervention, innovation, equipment, and education) for injury-related rehabilitation to restore clients’ independence & ability to participate in their everyday life:

  • Supporting clients to adjust to changes & challenges in their lives
  • Monitoring and reporting client progress
  • Assisting clinical aspects within our  residential service include assessing and treating clients to achieve independence and wellbeing
  • Collaborating with other Allied Health staff through our interdisciplinary team
