Are you an Occupational Therapist with Neurorehabilitation experience and keen to be part of a dynamic team? This role will involve providing occupational therapy services within both our residential and community team.
Our community service provides rehabilitation and support under ACC’s Training for Independence and Living My Life programmes. We see our community clients in their homes, communities, workplaces and in our own rehabilitation settings assisting clients in varying stages of their rehabilitation journey.
Key clinical aspects within the residential service include assessing and treating clients to achieve independence and wellbeing.
You will be involved with a variety of clinical work (assessment, intervention, innovation, equipment, and education) for injury-related rehabilitation and habilitation. There is also the potential to extend your skills contributing to service development and providing education within the residential service. We encourage innovative practice and project development related to your clinical interests.
You will have plenty of support working within an interdisciplinary team including Physiotherapists, other Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Therapists, Registered and Enrolled Nursing Staff, Psychologists and Rehabilitation Coaches.

The successful applicant will have:
- A Bachelor of Health Science in Occupational Therapy, or equivalent and registration with the OTBNZ
- A minimum of two years’ experience working with clients with medical and neurological injuries.
- Previous experience in community and brain injury rehabilitation are desirable while some neuro rehabilitation experience is essential.
- A commitment to Te Ao Māori Framework of Practice.
- A holistic and person-centred approach.
- Interest in complex and challenging behaviours.
