Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the role
We are looking for a nurse to assist our residents maintain or recover to optimal health and quality of life. We are keen to hear from nurses with a variety of backgrounds: either an EN, recently graduated RN, a RN who has recently complete their CAP, or an overseas nurse who has recently completed their registration requirements in NZ).
The routine tasks include:
- Reviewing & updating short term plans and clinical progress notes.
- Reviewing drug round report, checking medications for accuracy, and overseeing the Controlled Drug check.
- Reviewing weights, BGL records and food/fluid charts, reviewing and updating wound care progress notes and overseeing catheter management.
The role works closely with the residential team, allied health professionals and residents & their family/whanau to plan and communicate changes, and manage admissions and discharges.
The role provides the opportunity for leadership in identifying resident trends/increases in clinical risk and identifying improvement opportunities in our systems/process.
The remuneration will be as per the NZNO MECA.
